Dare to Dream

We all have dreams, whether we choose to admit it or not. Some pursue their dreams and make them come true. Others leave them as pipe dreams for reasons best known to them.  As Walt Disney said, “All our dreams can come true if we dare to pursue them.”

Yes, I had many dreams; most remained pipe dreams, as I’m guilty of daydreaming. My mind goes off on different tangents, and these days, I can even doze off while reading something or doing something!!

However, one dream did materialize, and that is being a self-published author!! I would never have thought I could do it!! After all, I had never heard of Amazon or Google, and the computer didn’t exist in my younger days. Neither did the internet.

Then, things happened very quickly. Computers and floppy disks arrived! Slowly, through trial and error, I learned to self-publish on Amazon. Writing is my passion and I have a very fertile imagination. I daresay I live through my characters, and I have favorites among them! I always dreamed of being a witch with witchy powers that can transform bad people into creatures that will be hunted down! LOL!!

Yes, a new character in a new series has been hatched, and she’s one of my favorites. You’ll get to meet her in good time! No spoilers here!

Dare to dream! It’s a wonderful feeling. Dream of something, do something about it and it will come true. Little did I realize that my dream of having my favorite rose plant on my balcony would come true, but it did! When I had to relocate, the rose bush that I gave my friend prospered and grew abundantly in her garden. One day, she came to visit and brought a third generation of that rose plant in a pot.  Today, that little plant is flowering, and the beautiful pink roses exude a sweet fragrance that is very intoxicating.
